Be brave little angel it'll be okay,

Close your eyes tomorrow is another day.

Spread your wings take flight,

Together we'll win this fight.

Put down the razor put down the knife,

Be brave little angel don't take your life.

Take a deep breath in and out,

Suck in that lip baby please don't pout.

When the sun comes up I'll be right here,

Close your eyes and have no fear.

What has poetry taught me? I've learned that the most important thing to remember when writing is to be brave. Poetry has been my outlet throughout everything. So I wrote a poem about being brave during the hardest time of my life, which was when I was struggling with depression and contemplating suicide.
