To Be Heard: Education

With an education system,

Which limits what a teacher teaches and what a student learns,

She dealt with standardized testing,

As she saw it determining what colleges she got into, she became frustrated and helpless,

She watched the whole education system crumble as it slowly became dull.

As it became more mindless,

The people from the generation before her

Started speaking up about how inept the next generation was,

And she watched her fellow classmates,

Who were all so eager to learn start cheating just to get a grade,

The thirst they once had for knowledge was no longer quenched

By this establishment that they all called "School."
