You gotta open your mind to stretch your brain until it separates/ your old mindstate/your old mindset changed/get with the new/just relate and concentrate/be intuned to the importance thats at state/Ya new mind is ready to release/ pull the trigger/ shots/ pop pop/pop off /you lost your mind again/ get in touch/ open wide/ turn it around/ clap your hands/ its all fine now /pick ya face up and stop/ please dont cry/ it’ll be alright/smush it weight/ and take your thoughts out/ the bad ones/ that have you thinking you cant do nothing with your life intellectually because you didnt succeed successfully, academically, in the standards of society/ thats wack/ you been lied to/ I dont want that/ that one telling me that I cant do nothing with my life cause I aint make straight a’s or b’s, right../ what you doing? validating, complicating, creating blanking up perceptions/ my capability… all of thee above/ You cant stop me by your distorted thoughts/ keep that crazy talk to yourself/ behind me, behind the wall where all the insecurities fall/ afterall, I got a mind, you got one too/so dont wait for intelligence to enter you/ enter ya head/ by the books/dont be shook/They don’t make you smart like the school system says/ its the opposite of whats portrayed/ if you ask me its a little patronizing/ I fed in/you reading? thats good/ I’m not knocking/ get in them books/ page after page/ chapter 1, 2, and 3/ just make sure the literary, vocabulary doesnt put you in a victim cementary/ killing whats common to your sense, stabbing at your pupils swerving then punching the antennas in ya noggin/ munipulation.. /”You wont be smart if you dont read these pages, you’ll fail at life, forget it baby,” The teacher said./ That’s bull, thats crazy/ I’m not bringing my ears to hear uncover, discover something that clearly ignorance, come on man thats not even true/who ever said that you cant be smarter than the teachers thats in the classroom with you/ Cause You can…. liars.. Your intellect is developed by the sensitivity of your mind/brought down into your heart/Slipped from your soul/Don’t wait to be considered smart by your grades, a degree/Bump that/You already are/you already are the smartest/your heart is the hardest/let it flow/ just connect to yourself and give your own perspective/I bet you’ll be called intelligent/Book smarts is cool if we didn’t live in some’em that’s called real l’ ife/so I don’t want that/you shouldnt either/That can’t help me sur’ v’ive/you either/Only boost egos and get into a snoody college/What good is that fo’ when you don’t have your own mindset/your own knowledge, your state of mind/ rebellious mind state, mines/ yours, using life lessons to teach you some em’/to grow from em/ deep meanings have your mind leaning on creative spaces/ weird faces/ turning into a real person/ you gotta focus, cause you gotta get to know it/ the mental/ your mental/ dig in it/ its complex/ its a mess/ soulful/ imagination waiting to be touched/ I know it/ I’m not downplaying/I’m just saying, School is cool don’t get me wrong/education is important so get educated all u can/but that doesn’t validate you man/so dont let it/its not ya medication/it wont heal you after graduation/reality happens, after they call your name and you receive ya diploma/after that day you think everything is over/the world stopped for ya/sorry it doesnt, one bit/it keeps going/reality sets in/ life hits ya/so step into the real world and find things out for yourself.
