Beach Queen

Thu, 04/06/2017 - 15:26 -- apefley

People live on the water here,

See themself in the tremblin’ waves,

Tricky mirrors rollin’ unclear

And rockin’ her history’s graves.

Tyrant tourists upon her crown

Lustin’ at her sacred shores,

Leisurin’ upon her gown

Little carin’ what she was before.

But at sunset when all is cool

And there's strikin’ of the levin,

Clouds reflect in the sea’s tide pools

Liftin’ their queen up to heaven.
