Beautiful, Lonely

Your eyes keep me awake at night

But no one else sees them like I do

You keep wondering why no one notices

The sadness inside

But I do

Don't let the world get you down

You're beautiful

But you're so lonely

You are a masterpiece

With no audience

They all pass you by

How can they not notice

Your smile?

So radiant, yet so untrue

A tear in secret

Escapes your ocean eyes

You're lonely

I'm lonely too

Forget them all

They don't see your beauty

They use you

Take advantage of you

They don't understand you

Not the way I do

I want to explore your soul

I want to find you

In the wreckage of your hurt

I want to bring you out of solitude

Let me into your lonely mind

You are so easily swayed

By the ones who put you down

But you aren't who they say you are

You are beautiful

You are lovely

You are sacred

And you are lonely
