Beauty

Young girls look in' at fashion magazines,

Seein' words like gorgeous, infallible, flawless, and affordable beauty.

Adding layers of make up.

Seeing beauty as a number,

Starvin' themselves to be "pretty"

Enduring torture for "beauty"

"Beauty" bein' unattainable and impossible to reach.

As companies sell product after product,

Of glamorous eye shadow,

Voluminous Lashes,

and Diet plans,

Definin' beauty,

Convincing you to buy the products to achieve it.

Beauty ain't somethin’ you can obtain through powders and liquid mascara,

It's deeper than skin deep.
