Because I Love You

Because I love you, I know you don’t agree

Even at dusk, you heart shoots arrows at me

Your riddles reveal themselves at the altar

While my eyes are still waiting for your blunder

These differences separate us from the earth

But they truly connect us from birth

I am no seraphim, nor are you a cherubim

Our exhausted souls can no longer take this dissension

Because I love you, I feed you holy knowledge

Hoping that your gift in return is symbolic

We are beautiful if we are patient

As the autumn leaves will not fall into temptation

Our minds need to be molded into abstract art

Like a masterpiece that will never break apart

Through oceans and storms, may we not hesitate

For we can certainly make our crooked nature straight

Because I love you, our colorful wounds will mutate into golden scars

So that we can forgive quickly before drawing unwritten stars

You are my sister, my foe, and my best friend

I will pour out my weak roses to you, without end
