Because I Love(d) You

Because I love(d) you
I’ve swallowed
bones
and emptied oceans
and painted crimson on the floor
we’ve tasted regret
for
far
too
long
and loneliness has become our bitter companion
if your sadness was wool I could
wove
an eternity and galaxies
oh...in your eyes

you had galaxies

but in your heart you had
black holes
