Because of You, I am Flawless

At first I felt lost

As I sat and continuously watched

My mentally ill sister struggle with what is real

and what is not

Sure she was seen by multiple professionals

But even they couldn't find

what she truly needed

It was tough for me

to intitially accept

that I could do nothing for my sis

And even though my helplessness

was once considered a flaw

It surely is not anymore

For it fueled something in me

Gave me a mission in life

I developed big dreams

I promised to change the world

And it's because of you, my big sis

I am flawless because

my decision is set

I have chosen to devote my life

to children like you, big sis

I am flawless because

I have chosen to pave

a brighter future for children

who struggle with multiple mental illnesses

I am flawless because

I am on track

to become a clinical psychologist

and that's that.
