#BecauseILoveYou (our story)

#BecauseILoveYou (our story)

Green eyes, red hair.

Freshman year, walking through that door.

I hated you.

Well,

I hated the friendship you had with my best friend.

Even through hate, you made me smile.

Sophomore year,

You disappeared.

Not seeing you

Not hearing you

I didn’t think anything of it.

Even without you, your memory made me smile

Junior year, a single class

Confused by my feelings, I stay quiet…

And yet…

CLASS PROJECT!

Swapping numbers, after school meetups

Becoming nervous, becoming best friends

Even in class, I can’t help but smile

Last day of school

Teasing me, messing with me

Trying my hardest not to blush

Hugging me farewell,

I really like you.

Even departing, you make me smile

The month of June

I received a text

“Hi” from a certain someone

My heart skipped a beat

June 15, Instagram messaging

“Will you go out with me?”

Even in social media, you make me smile

Senior year

2 classes together

Attempting to keep you here

Scared you’re forced to move

Constantly facing the negative

Bring on the challenges

Even when sad, we make each other smile

College was hard

Several miles apart

Anxiety increasing

Phone calls limiting

We can get through this…

It’s because I love you,

I stay strong.

It’s because I love you,

I drive to surprise you.

It’s because I love you,

I don’t give up.

A few year later

We’re finally here

You’re down on one knee

Every girl’s dream.
