Behind the Eyes of a Girl That Cried

Tears flowing down her flawless face Not feeling pretty but much more a disgrace As others ask her what's the matter All they get back is the sound of pitter patter That's supposed to hide her sorrow and tears Indulging herself in panic and fear See this is what happens you move at such a rapid pace Hearts aren't made to run an incessant race You said you'd always love me she screamed deep within But not regretting what she has been She sucked it up as she walked past him with pride This was behind the eyes of a girl that cried.
