Being a Whovian

Location

We won’t blink when we see a stone face

and we all embrace the chill

Though even if our eyes drifted into space,

we know the unseeing face remains still

Their grand silhouette shadows that of a man,

and sends our hearts running away

Though we all knew its end before it began

yet our heart still begs us to stay.

The most feared of all may suddenly appear

and screech in our ears, “Exterminate!”

Though, we’ve all obtained that smug little sneer

so we won’t stop and think to hesitate.

We don’t let our fears tell our bodies no.

We are careful never to blend.

We know there can’t be a dull moment though

Because we are all just stories in the end
