In Between
We all struggle with the same thing
So why do some have more suffering?
Why does the middle get a bad ring?
It's always one or the other
With no in between
A middle view cannot be seen
We're too pitted against each other
There's rich and then there's poor
The way between is "just a door"
But there's really so much more
Mainstream news now hides the truth
That most of us think for ourselves
They expect us to breathe their shelves
But that's not what we're meant to do
We need to stand for what is true
Let no one tell us what to do
So, please, let no one limit you
Most of us are in between
And don't believe it's a bad thing
We can dance and we can sing
And raise our voices to be seen
