beyond the Bully

Location

Who am I, who are you, who are any of us really
We hide, we lie, we submit to pressure freely
We take what others call weakness
And mask it in hate, or strength or meekness
We.do not show our passion or our joy
We stand present, just a girl, just a boy
We stand back when others are attacked
Afraid to stand.up and fight back
But if just once we opened.our mouths and yelled
Can you even imagine that?
I am justice for the small, I am not afraid
I am fair for all, I can not be caged
You don't like me because I speak my mind?
I am ok with that, I am a new breed.of.my kind
I will not go silent into the halls of hate
I will make noise, I will rally, I will break down the gate
I am no David, even though I fight Goliath
I am me, and.to the bully I will not remain silent
If just one person can walk easy because I stood tall,
It.doesn't matter if you like me one bit, not at all
Because I like me now, even more
And that is more than I could say before.
