Big-girl Shoes

She’s the little girl with the big-girl shoes The one that won’t let herself lose, This is her game, you play by her rules, The little girl with the big-girl shoes She lets the die roll, If they land wrong, she takes her toll, A life for a life, a wrong for a wrong, The way out is perilous and long. The little girl with the big-girl shoes. Wreathed in danger You’d better watch out She’s looking for something, She won’t leave without. The little girl with the big-girl shoes She considers your plea, lets herself muse Alright, she’ll let you go, for a price, You will have to give her your life There’s no way out, you’d better comply The little girl with the big-girl shoes She has you cornered, there’s no way you won’t lose Sensing your defeat, she goes in for the kill, Growing and maturing, a different girl, She’s grown up in a whirl No longer the little girl with the big-girl shoes
