Big Teachings from Small Words
Small words taught me to sympathize
with strangers and their inner tides.
The sad thoughts that sting the back of the eye,
the sad thoughts that threaten to liquefy.
To know so little and yet so much,
to know their worries and fears and such,
has opened my ears to their confessions,
and opened my heart despite impressions.
