I look at my black mirror

When I need to check up on my news,

Read emails others just throw away,

Or talk to friends who are looking to muse.

Some use their black mirror to take selfies,

Other use its smiling, dying, crying emojis 

To text very important people very important things,

While I use it to suck out all the marrow of life. 

With a few clicks, swipes, or taps

I can understand things greater than I

And drive anytime, anywhere with Google maps,

And no one ever asks me why,

Why do I use my phone the way I do?

It helps me see the world how people used to.
