Black Womyn Are Beautiful - A Dose of Affirmation

Black womyn are beautiful

I know this to be true

Black womyn are beautiful, my sister is too!

Raised in the hood of Ellenwood she stands on the shoulders of ancestors that came before her

Life aint been no easy journey either

She learned to love herself for herself.

Spelman is the institution she attends,

Despite what the enemy had planned she fought knowing she would endure to the end.

Im proud of my sister and all that she has accomplished.

Sometimes I gotta brag on my sister, cuz after all Im just being honest.

I love you Amber to the moon and back.

Just remember my sister you are awesome, beautiful, gifted and black!
