A Blanket Of Snow

Location

When I came to this world

I was but a blanket of snow

Clean and unmarred

It’s hard to keep my snow

Fresh and clean

When others taint me

With dirty footprints

That make me feel less

They stomp and pound

I feel myself melting

Into a pool of dirty water

But when the moon rises

And shines its light upon me

I force myself to look

And see that I still glimmer and sparkle

Like a blanket of freshly fallen snow
