blaze

you pulled me out of the fire my mind was in

you became the water that soothed my burns

my youth relished in the enjoyment of no more burning

you had the tender touch that became the bandaids to my cuts

my heart cherished the passion that you poured into me

you enchanted my mind, superseding every aspect of my life

until the flame came back, and you weren't there to put it out

the more I realized your alleviating water wasn't there to save me, the more the heat tookover me

the smoke filled my lungs

the blaze consumed me
