The Blindness in This World

Location

Molotov cocktails and tear gas.

Nuclear arms and hateful words.

It's all so far away and right at home,

so where is this world heading towards?

Nobody knows, so we make ourselves blind,

forced to follow the leaders or be cast away.

For patriotism comes before reason,

so we purse our lips and watch what we say.

Where is this world going when we are all trying to get by?

Where is this world going when the people have no voices?

We all try to love and laugh and charish this life we're given,

but we are stuck with the weight of their choices.

Our lives are just a blink of an eye,

our lives are what we make of them.

So fight for the right reasons and don't be blind,

because our lives do not have to be condemned.
