The Body

I look in the mirror

I wish I could see what you see

Skin so pale I could illuminate the dark

Curves in all the wrong places

Acne that covers my face

Oh the joy of being a teen

Hair that frizzes

A face that frowns

Insecurities and shame

Oh if only I could see what you see

Fat legs

Fat stomach

Fat arms

The body…everyone’s insecurity

Everyone hates their body

I hate my body

I look in the mirror

I wish I could see what you see
