Bones in our Dinner

Location

Nigeria

Like the sky is to the ground, was love distant to us.

Over the cradle years of our lives, meats we did enjoyed

Vicinities of peace, had we, during breakfasts, but our

Enemies are now the game changers; for

Scarcely could we eat our Dinner in peace ‘cause

Changers of game, they turned out to be.

Ambushes and snares, they did make for us.

Ruthlessly, they’d come, casting bones in our dinner and

Choosing to make us suffer in our dinner

Instead of considering our grays,

They’d threaten us every day, letting us behold crisis

Yet, we footed their bills and fought their freedom.
