A Box

Location

There’s a box in the corner

That I will not open

A box full of memories

Of words unspoken

This box is my past

But somehow my future

Inside lies hate and anger

That deep pain that I nurture

This box is a part of me

That no one’s ever known

It’s the part inside of me

That I’ve never ever shown

And my box has this lock

But I’ve thrown away the key

Because inside there are many things

That I fear this world would see
