Bravery

Bravery – A simple seven letter word.

Bravery does not always mean running into a burning building or saving a drowning child.
Bravery does not always mean saving someone from danger.
Bravery can be finding your voice and speaking up for yourself.
Bravery can be using that voice for others too.
Bravery can be letting someone know how they make your soul feel on fire in the best way, or how they have hurt your feelings.
Bravery can be reaching out to someone even if they are not reaching back.
Bravery is in being loyal, and being honest.
Bravery is in realizing your worth and not settling for less than you deserve.
Bravery is in living your life in a way that makes you damn proud.
Bravery is in having faith for the future.

I worry that there are people who feel as if they have never, ever done anything brave. I worry that these people feel less because of it.

But I want you to know… You are brave.

You open your eyes in the morning. You put your feet on the ground. You breathe in. You breathe out.

Don’t you all see? The very act of living is brave.
