Breaking

I fell between the cracks beneath the cement sidewalk

I tried to keep from breaking my fall, but I couldn't hold on

No one knew I was lost, gone without a trace

No one called my name

As I fell between the cracks beneath the cement sidewalk

Scraping my face, scratching my head

Wondering when this crack became so wide

I am the only one falling, as if the crack was me deep within

I fell between the cracks beneath the cement sidewalk

I may have hit my head, because I am starting to see

I tried to keep from breaking my fall, but I couldn't hold on

No one knew I was lost, gone without a trace

I am breaking, deep within

Breaking and craking underneath my skin

The cracks are too deep and my pain has become to wide to hide

As I fell between the cracks beneath the cement sidewalk
