A Bright Future

A Bright Future

Here I stand,

Conformed.

Chasing a dream that’s miles away,

Thinking of things I struggle to say,

My arms outstretched;

reaching for my destiny.

On a path that seemingly never ends,

I face adversity but I will never bend,

enduring the pain,

prepared for the rain,

confronted by those who contain feelings of disdain.

Through it all,

here I stand,

Impervious.

Impervious to the bullets of life,

grateful despite strife.

One day I will be heard,

One day in my bright future.
