And as I look back at who I used to be

And what we used to have

I realize that we will never be the same.

I am a shattered human and you are an unbothered god.

"I love you", I whsiper

"I love you too", you whisper back..

But it was always a whisper.

Never more than that.

You never screamed  those words.

Let alone said them out loud.

You never spoke up,

and that is why we are in this never-ending cycle of pain.

Its always the same.

I cry, you apologize,

we make up, you go astray again.

You care, but you don't.

You love me, but you don't.

You're being honest, but you're lying.

I am right in front of you and you don't see me.

Man, you broke me.
