Broken Promises

You might have said once that you were never going to break your promises

Or you were never going to stop caring

Or you were never leaving my side

Or you were never going to stop loving me

But in the end, the once never became a "were"

Implying you have done the "never"

And all I'm left with now are all broken words of lies

A statement so powerful was destroyed

And now I am left with a never ending sorrow
