Dirty blonde hair that was always greasy because

your family had one bathroom

with six

seven

eight people

and you always came last to every single one.

Sisters' boyfriends and strange neighbors

passed through your house like a subway and I

questioned why it never felt like your home.

I see your face in today's sad kids and I miss you

because I didn't understand that you felt worthless.

I just helped adults break you rather than help a fallen

  comerade.
