Burden

Obviously I’m a burden

As you said so yourself

Yet you don’t know I’m hurting

Or how I cant stand myself

I can never be more

Than the man that I am

So I walk to the moor

And jump over the dam

I want you to leave

And be happy alone

No reason to grieve

Just be safe in your home

Obviously I’m a burden

With no person who cares

So I close all my curtains

and I dissolve into air

You told me to go

So I ran far away

There’s no story to show

Just the end of a day

I love you my friend

And I’ll leave you my bourbon

Have a toast on me

Your obvious burden
