Burning Hate

Burning Hate

By: Isabelle Gonzalez

Burning tears stream down the woman’s face

The tears reside as she is filled with grace.

She is reminded of life’s constant race,

Leading her back into a steady place.

Such hate cannot exist-

In a body built to resist.

The constant pain and emotion

Results in life without motion.

She lets the hate fall from her eyes

As she screams her desperate cries.

The thought of pretending makes her faint,

Causing the hate to subside and ache.

But she rises,

Rises above,

The constant disgraceful hate.
