I feel the cage

Just beneath my skin

There bending and shifting

Just barely containing

The raging beast

It grows there

changing shape

pushing me to

my very limit

just to hold it back

I cage and lock

this beast from coming out

tonight i have released

just a claw

yet I know you

I would never hurt you

rather would see you leave

than let you find

how cruel I

could become

so I say for you

I care but because I do
