Call It Quits and You'll Never See The Sun

They called it power, The others passed it off to the side. Child games, they called it. But what they didn't see were the tears that came after. The hatred for oneself, the disguise behind the smile, the desire to disappear. Words weren't taken wrong, they were meant to burn to the core. Did they stop it? Did they care? Do they try to heal the battle wounds? They didn't hear them voice out for help? It's a victimless crime, they promised, no one will get hurt. Pain and despair, we don't want to bare it any more. Call it quits and you'll never see the sun; stand up when they call it lies. Shout over the hate, escape their illusions. The sun isn't gone... It's just around the corner.
