Calluna Vulgaris

Floral sheets, peach upon arrival,

Now stained, unwashed and grey

She lays on top never inside.

I’ve wanted her

Smell, but not like this.

Cigarettes half drawn,

Perpetual smears of makeup,

Black curtains locked.

Looking through the mirror into

Her reflection, this isn’t who I missed.
