"Can You See Me Now?"

Location

“I am beautiful, I am unique, I am free and down to earth, I am unambiguously me.

My filters are gone and I stand bare.

My guard is down and I am vulnerable.

All so that you can see the beautiful soul that lies within me.

My filters are gone.

Can you see me now?

I became the "yes man" so people would stay.

I hurt others because I was hurting.

All the while, what I failed to realize was that, I betrayed myself because the filters did not quite fit.

Bare and without filters I came into this world, so why did I feel the need to put them on?

Bare and without filters I thought I was incomplete.

However, slowly but surely, the filters began to "show".

When they did, people urged me to quickly put them back into place.

Why?

Because to them, the original work was not worth being seen.

I however knew that it was time to let all of my filters go.

So now, my filters are gone and I stand bare.

I am vulnerable, and now I see the beautiful soul that lies within me.

I am beautiful, I am unique, and I am free.

I am purpose filled, and I matter.

My filters, the very source of my inhibitions are gone.

Can you see me now?”
