Cancer

You ask God why
You have no clue what to do
Not sure how to tell your family
It isn't just the flu

A tumor on your brain
Scans show it's not benign
Now the question of your health
Is scattered in your mind

Receiving words of encouragement
Hearing, "You're going to be fine."
But you know deep down
That you don't have much time

Years have passed by
Your condition has gotten worse
Now you knew the disease
Has finally run its course

Now it is time for goodbye
But you don't want to leave
After you have gone
We find it hard to believe

In all our memories
You will always stay
Touching all our hearts
In each and every way
