Can't love a soul that's already dead.

Listen up,

I don't care.

What anyone says.

Got a hole in my heart

And a hole in my head.

You can't convince me,

That you meant what you said.

When you spoke so softly,

By my hospital bed.

You regret what has happened.

You regret the bloodshed.

The war I was caught in,

And the fact that you fled.

You left me behind.

Start a new life instead.

But I won't believe you.

I see only pain ahead.

No, nothing else matters.

Cept' you fill me with dread.

Cause you can't love a soul.

That's already dead.
