Challenger Deep

Far deep within our oceans is an abyss, many leagues underneath.

No light can reach the mysterious, unfamiliar, exotic terrain.

Even the sharks are lost, symbols of fear, defeated.

Sparsely people come, curiosity to seek,

“Can the intoxicating pit harbor

Life?”

Our only way to know is progress.

For in the darkest, forbidden places,

Unsure at first if the things we see are dreams,

We truly confirm there are inklings of form down in this keep;

Then certainly we’ve found value, fruits of our bold dive, Challenger Deep.
