Change

We scream
We yell
But we do not fight
We protest
We lay down
We say we want change
Yet do nothing
Because deep down we know
It is our fault
It is our fault things are this bad
We say we want change
and look everywhere but at ourselves
We ARE the problem
We MUST change
We REFUSE to do so
say it's not us
it's them
and no one is willing to remove the blinders
no one is willing to admit
they must change
I wish to change that
I wish I had the power to rip the blinders off
throw them away from our eyes
and help everyone change
and change with them
we are a dying phoenix
but we may not be reborn
because to be reborn we must change
but no one wants that
