Change is in You

Location

In this life we always find

Pain and happiness of every kind.

Joy amongst those who wish it

Pain with those who waste bit by bit.

Change is never found easy.

For those of quality or sleazy.

Tendency to cut corners

Makes sad regretful mourners.

Change is a word not to be scared of

But to embrace with openness and love.

Habits may be hard to break

But what exactly is at stake?

We can change if we choose.

There is nothing the change will make us loose.

We cannot continue this way

If we still hold hope for a new day.

Do not be afraid,

The sirens call will fade.

Though silence is cold

It is a fate often told.

Change the way we are,

Focus efforts on now and do not look too far.

We are heading the wrong way,

It only takes one to add color to the gray.

Listen!

Muslim, Jew, christen.

We are all alike,

Put aside your differences and dislike.

Listen!

Poor, middle class, or those in mansions that glisten.

We are all apart of human kind,

That is the thought we never seem to keep in mind.

If change is to occur,

Then forget your anger and slurs.

See the big picture,

The answer is not always in verse or scripture.

The answer is in you.

Now that you know the answer what will you do?

Do not shut it out!

Extenguish any doubt.

Why were you given eyes

If you refuse to see?

Why were you given ears

If you will not listen to me?

Why were you given a mouth

If you won’t speak out?
