Chasing Fate

I can count on you like the sun counts on the moon.

When the sun needs to rest, she knows that the moon will have her back.
The moon doesn’t mind.
She doesn’t want the sun’s flame to burn out.

The sun and moon never meet, but they are constantly dancing.
They are not meant to be together, yet they are inseparable.

I wonder if they tire of chasing fate.
I know they don’t, because their souls yearn for the other.
They will not cease until they are together.

Maybe someone will tell them the truth.
I know they will not listen, nor will they hear.

This love is true, like the sun and the moon.
