Chasing What Isn't There

Location

I always wondered how my legs never got tired
With all the constant running

From me
From life
From everything that ever stared me in the face

My entire memory is more the things that exist in my head
than things that happened
The darker the time
The more it's been replaced with fantasy

And while I can't change my past
I can change my perspective of the future
Escape escapism
And finally live in reality

I want to finally realize that the roses are there
And meet the people that have smelled them too

Life's joys
Pains
Pleasures
Tears
Will finally be mine to claim

And my legs could really use a rest.
