I was quite young when I first heard of you.
I close my eyes and the flashback starts:
I’m standing there in a classroom while at school.

See the signs, see the ions, the elements.
See your words up on the whiteboard,
I say, “Hello,”
Little did I know...

That you were chemistry, you were so important,
And I always said, “Someday I will understand you!”
And I was happy in my studies
Learning you, “Teach me more!”
