Child Dreams

Close your eyes, imagine;
Remember all the child dreams,
From astronauts to firemen,
Whisking by they disappear,
And look who does appear,
It is you right here right now,
Throwing those dreams away.
This is what you chose to do.
Tears stream down your face,
As you see your child dreams,
Each are floating in your mind,
Never to be followed, but left behind.
You soon have your own child,
You tell them of your dreams;
They dream of them also...
When they grow they remember you,
Pushing those silly dreams away,
They do the same, what a shame.
An onward cycle continuous sadness.
Dreams have fallen, dreams have failed.
If you don't follow them...
Who will?
