Childhood to Adulthood

From the time we are born we are all told what to think.

That Santa brings our toys and that all girls love pink.

That if you're nice to others they'll be nice back

Never told of the possibility of a verbal attack.

That anything is possible if you put in determination

Until you're the bulls eye of discrimination.

You were told that Mommy and Daddy know all

But visiting your Daddy in a prison hall

Will fuck up your head and you feel ENRAGED

And life  for me is disengaged.

Now that childhood has come to a close

I wonder what the real world will bring who the hell knows?
