Childhood Arachnophobia

When I was a small child, I was tormented by a horrible fear of spiders. Spiders and other “Creepy Crawlers” Chased me into secluded corners. They shoved me behind other people And mocked me with their webs. The creatures of my nightmares left real marks and Always bit me, leading to an aftermath of intense pain. Spiders made my heart palpitate As fast as a race car zooming around a speedway. My palms became disgustingly sweaty, And I screamed until my throat became raw. Afterwards, my face would be as pale as a ghost. I would apologize profusely. But then, my cheeks would be as red as a rose. The only thing that compared to my fear was my embarrassment.
