Climate of the Human Heart

I put him up in the sky
Center of attention
My guiding light to a better introspection
Time to get out of bed

Kisses drift along
His lips tend to linger
He shadows my movements
And makes me feel hazy

When echoing feelings make my mind numb and weary
He drowns my troubled thoughts with his calming words
That douse my worries and
Replenish my soul

I take him down from the sky
Like he’s part of my own personal galaxy
We keep each other together
Time to crawl back into his bed
