Cold

Location

The peacefulness of the rain couldn’t ease the chaos in my mind

We fall in love and pretend that everything will be alright

We mask our problems with cigarettes and alcohol

But soon we’re bound to stumble and fall

We’re a disappointment to our parents, but they’d never tell us so

But they were once just like us, and like them we have such high hopes

We put up with people who criticize our every move

But they have every reason to

We hate the sun, and we love the rain

We’re trapped inside the thoughts that swim inside our brains

We push aside the people who care the most

We are just so cold
