Cold and Betrayed

I come from a home of crushed honesty. A family of nothing but secrets Being lied to about the truth Is harder than facing the reality. You show no affection towards each other No love, no hugs, no kisses, no laughs. I am your daughter Is that not enough for me to know? It's hard enough to come across the papers myself You two destroying your marriage I am not here to judge you I am not here to hold a grudge. My respect and faith no longer exist Nor will I ever look at you the same You're keeping something from me Which puts an emptiness in my heart. I expected better from you both You taught me to never lie Instead that's all I come home to now And the warm mood of this house has withered away.

The poet conveys the emotions well that I feel what the narrator feels.
